KidShowcase – Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 4, 2026
At KidShowcase, we are dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and empowering platform for young athletes, artists, students, and youth organizations to highlight their talents. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information you share with us.
Important Privacy Notice: What You Share Is What They See
KidShowcase is built to help showcase achievements to coaches, recruiters, family, and supporters. Because profile information is public by design, we strongly encourage all parents, guardians, and organizations to read our dedicated guide: What You Share Is What They See: Understanding Privacy on KidShowcase before publishing content.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide better services, verify accounts, and safely process event signups and donations across our platform. This includes:
- Account Information: Name, email address, password, phone number, and account role (parent, student, coach, organization, donor).
- Profile Content: Photos, video highlights, academic/athletic stats, event listings, and updates you choose to upload or post.
- Payment & Verification Data: Financial processing, payouts, and identity checks are handled directly through our secure partner, Stripe Connect. KidShowcase does not store or hold sensitive credit card, debit card, or bank account numbers on our servers.
- Usage & Device Data: Standard access logs, browser type, IP address, and security verification telemetry (including Google reCAPTCHA v3) to protect against fraud and card testing.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected information for the following core purposes:
- To create, display, and manage student showcases, organizational fundraisers, and event registrations.
- To verify user identity and prevent fraudulent activities or fake event listings.
- To process financial transactions, event payouts, and direct student support securely via Stripe Connect.
- To respond to support requests, send administrative updates, and communicate service notices.
3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
Current Policy: KidShowcase does not sell, rent, or share any of your personal data, profile information, or email addresses with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners.
Future Use Notice: As KidShowcase grows and expands its platform capabilities, we may evaluate new features, sponsor opportunities, or analytics partnerships. If our data-sharing practices change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify registered users prior to implementing those changes.
We do share essential operational data with trusted third-party service providers solely to operate the platform:
- Stripe: Payment processing, anti-fraud checks, and identity verification.
- Google reCAPTCHA v3: Spam prevention and security verification.
- Email Infrastructure Providers (Brevo): Delivering transactional emails and account notices.
4. Public Information & Youth Safety
Please remember that profiles, event flyers, achievements, and updates posted on KidShowcase are intended for public visibility so recruiters, supporters, and organizations can discover students. Parents and guardians maintain control over student accounts and should ensure that any personal details shared (such as contact information or locations) are appropriate for public viewing.
5. Data Security & Storage
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. All payment transactions and bank connections are encrypted using industry-standard SSL technology managed by Stripe.
6. Your Rights & Account Control
You have the right to inspect, update, or remove your personal information at any time. You can edit your profile details, remove media uploads, or adjust account settings directly through your dashboard. If you wish to permanently delete your account or student profile, please contact our support team.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect platform changes, legal requirements, or evolving privacy standards. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
